Hi! My name is Kelly Owens and I am a Florida-based luxury pet fashion designer, entrepreneur, wife and mother of two spoiled dogs (a Chihuahua named Amore and a Yorkshire terrier named K.C. Adogus).


KO COUTURE (Formally known as Lil Yorkie Fru Fru) was born in 2009 and has rapidly grown into a designer pet clothing brand that is sold worldwide. With a signature style not seen elsewhere, KO Couture offers you custom show-stopping pet fashion designs that break the conventional mold. Catering to pet owners that love for their pups to wear only the best!

During the summer of 2008, I was forced to face one of the hardest struggles of my life. I felt so lost, so hopeless, and at that time I thought I would never again feel that passion for life that I had always had. I was in desperate need of a creative outlet, a new beginning. I rescued my sewing machine from my pile of garage sale items and just started creating. One year later, KO Couture (formally Lil Yorkie Fru Fru) was born!


Never would I have imagined that only two years later, the pet industry would consider me to be a “pet fashion expert” and “one of the top canine designers in the country”. My journey so far has been

amazing! I absolutely LOVE what I do and I am so grateful for the people (and pets) I have met along the way!


My business was started with only $2.36. My yorkie K.C. was named after my mom (Candy) and

my mom-in-law (Karen). I cannot write an email without an exclamation point, an “EEK”, or a “Yay”.

I am obsessed with working out on my Wii. My husband threw me a surprise wedding. I love to

play in the rain. Mmmmm….cake. I have a degree in Psychology and went to grad school to be a

Physician Assistant. I am a self-taught business woman and seamstress fueled by pure passion! I am a

perfectionist. I am barely 5 feet tall and I giggle in my sleep.














I honestly believe that I would not be where I am today without the support of my amazing friends and

fans, aka “my loves”. Through you I have once again found my passion for life. You have supported me

through the good times and the bad, and I can sincerely say that everything I do is for you! Thank you!

Oh Kelly....I wrote down your website address for SO MANY PEOPLE at that pool area I thought I would get a cramp in my wrist!!!! LOL LOL LOL When I walked outside with Millie prissing around in that feather dress I wish you could have HEARD everyone in the pool area scream out "OMG LOOK AT THAT LITTLE DOG!!!!!!!!!" I was on my way to the bride's room to help her fix her own dog's hair and I was late getting there because so many people ran to get their cameras and take Millie's picture and ask about her dress and get your website address!!!! -Darsey
Kelly, We got a lot of pictures of Pedro and Tempy in their outfits. I will send them once I get them back from the photographer. Just a note to tell you..I LOVE YOUR CREATIONS! I have big dogs, but it would be worth it to get a small sweet dog just to wear your designs. You do a wonderful job,and your "models" are wonderful too. Loved looking at all of them..:) - Paula
